1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using LPLookup ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

LPLookup provides a free vehicle information lookup service that allows users to search for vehicle details using:

  • VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
  • License plate number combined with state information

3. Rate Limiting Policy

Important: To ensure fair usage and prevent API abuse, we implement strict rate limiting.

  • Each IP address is limited to 1 lookup per 24-hour period
  • Rate limit resets every 24 hours from your first query
  • Exceeding the limit will result in a temporary restriction

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Attempt to bypass rate limiting measures
  • Use automated tools to access the Service beyond allowed limits
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Distribute malware or engage in any activity that could harm the Service
  • Use the Service to violate anyone's privacy
  • Engage in stalking, harassment, or intimidation

5. Data Accuracy and Disclaimer

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date vehicle information:

  • Vehicle information is sourced from third-party databases
  • We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information
  • Information should be used for reference purposes only
  • Users should verify critical information through official channels
  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on the information provided

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The Service and its original content are owned by LPLookup
  • User interface design and functionality are protected by copyright
  • Third-party data is used in accordance with licensing agreements

8. Service Availability

  • We strive to maintain 99.9% service availability
  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties
  • We may temporarily suspend service for maintenance or updates
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall LPLookup be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LPLookup and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
